From "Inherit The Wind" ... Spencer Tracy
"Because Fanaticism and Ignorance is forever busy and needs feeding..." One of the greatest films ever made. And still quite relevant.

"Sometimes it makes me sad though . . . Andy being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend."

Tull is energy. In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this "soul" does not exist ab initio as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia. But does it really matter what type of hat one wears. As the 20th century philosopher Idioticus Maximus once stated "Go forth into the world and spread the good news and do not worry about strangers referring dismissively about your head gear, whether it be new or old. The fact that you have a hat, be it a trilby, beret, homburg or the ubiquitous baseball hat does not matter - it's the wearing of it that is fundamental in all things."

I saw this movie, "play it again, Sam," with good old Woody Allen the other day... What a genius! This is Woody on a blind date...
"I wonder if she actually had an orgasm in the two years we were married, or did she fake it that night?" -Woody Allen
"I'm so excited, I think I'll brush all my teeth today!" - Woody Allen

Watched it again a couple of nights ago. Made me find the deleted scenes youtube, watch from about 7'30" onwards to see Morgan Freeman' character laughing his socks off in his cell when the prison authorities send a warder through the escape hole and down to the sewer pipe - classic.

We here in the UK have a sense of decorum, good taste and propriety when it come to wearing the right "titfer" * in the correct and approved manner. *1930s abbreviation of rhyming slang tit for tat.

As this thread's been hijacked by the hat brigade I thought I'd join in. I've just been on a short break where I came across this Welsh group of folk dancers in Whitby. C'mon OWD. What do they call those tall black hats?

John I thought you were my unofficial 'Hat' advisor! I have no idea what those hats are called but for some reason the childrens wear them on St David's Day (1st March) - girls that is. Boys dress up as rugby players or Miners ( although not so much since that mad witch and her American advisor decided to decimate the coal industry and communities of South Wales - sorry getting political again ) Not the best look to be honest. More importantly why are my Mam and Dad ( Mother/Father/Parents ) in Whitby, they told me they were going to The Algarve. OWD

Fortunately not. Although I did receive this weekend a present off the daughter's mate - all the way from Egypt - A Fez. Yes a bloody Fez. I thanked here and she told me that she thought it was appropriate because Tommy Cooper was born down the road !! OnejustlikethatDuck en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Cooper
