I have been a big Tull fan since the 1960's and have most of their albums and CDs. My wife and I run 2 other proboards forums, one called Ant Hill World which is about ants obviously; and the other is Dalek World which is basically Doctor Who stuff. I don't get much time to plonk on my electric guitar these days, but my wife and I have retired from long careers as nurses in the NHS. My music interests are varied and cover all kinds from Bach to the Beatles, and many other bands and composers; but Jethro Tull is still a firm favourite of mine. Hope to pop in and get to know you all over time when I can get my Heavy Horses to Stand Up

It's always good to see what other interest Tull fans have and thanks for posting your Dalek site link. What part of Sussex are you from? My Grandparents lived in Eastbourne for many years and a great friend of ours lived in Worthing. One of her sons had a great passion for Dr Who and he used to display his memorabilia in the local Worthing area, including a life size model of a Dalek which he'd made. This was about 25 years or so ago and I often wonder if it survived. PM me and I'll give you some more details and it would be a small world if you knew him and ever came into contact with him. MD/Graham

I live in Chichester now, as we moved here from Worcestershire; but originally I am from Cheshire and my wife is from Wales, a small village just across the River Usk from the town of Crickhowell near the Brecon Beacons. I have driven in a full sized dalek and have a vast collection of them and other Doctor Who stuff. Thanks for the welcome Maddogfagin.

My real name is Allan, but my user name is taken from my favourite Jethro Tull album Songs from the Wood. I am also know as Wood or Wood Ant on my wife's ant forum.

HELLO WHISTLER ALLAN WELCOME TO THE FORUM Thanks for that great first post. Hope you enjoy perusing the threads and look forward to your posts. I had a quick shifty at your websites and I will look deeper. Some great dalek pictures. I saw them when they made an appearance in Glasgow circa mid sixties - I was scared but less so when I saw them gliding on a track,I remember that being a bit of a disappointment in my young life. i61.images obliterated by tinypic/w1bp7q.gif[/IMG] Cheers Patti

Hi Patti and thanks for the welcome. Right now I am listening to Bursting Out as my wife has gone to the dentist, so I have time to listen to my music and not hear her telling me to turn down the volume.

Hi Patti and thanks for the welcome. Right now I am listening to Bursting Out as my wife has gone to the dentist, so I have time to listen to my music and not hear her telling me to turn down the volume. HAHA!!! My wife always complains if things are too loud (meaning if she can hear it from my downstairs studio usually. So usually I end up practicing in headphones to keep her happy.
I love the Bursting Out Album! Very good choice to play loud!
