I am not really a big Martin Barre fan, although he plays well enough, but I think it would be nice if he, in the future could reunite with Ian under the Jethro Tull name. This interview gives me hope for that. I guess it's kind of like cheering for a footballteam, and I feel Martin deserves to be a part of the success I think Ian is about recieve these days. My biggest problem with Martin was that he never seemed to loosen up on stage, like was always a bit affraid of stepping up and be the guitar hero, or the parody of a guitar hero....Whatever.He just never seemed to enjoy the attention and spotlight too much, so maybe it is silly of me to whish he'd be a part of any future possible Jethro Tull success....just kind of like the idea that the two old men, Ian and Martin, should both be there. Having said that I enjoy Florian's playing and his stage appereance. It's not like I really miss Martin on stage, just ....as an idea....Anyway, the point of this post is not to complaint about Martin Barre not being with Ian now, but that it would be nice if he did in the future, before theu indeed are too old....Heck, I wouldn't mind having both Martin and Florian on stage....and Ryan too...and a female violinst....Jethro Tull could be a 10 piece orchestra or more....I wouldn't mind. :-)

This post makes a lot of sense to me...Why not Martin, Florian, a violinist, an extra keyboard player now and then (Dee Plamer, of course) for a Tull Metropolitan Area tour ? And for sure, for sure, Ryan.

Two very different guitarists, but both very capable musicians... but Dee, and Ryan also sounds good to me!

I'm fairly certain that Anderson, Barre and Palmer is a reference to Emerson, Lake and Palmer ... not David / Dee Palmer. :-)
