Hello to all, I've been away from the forum a long time due to work and health problems mainly. After the concert of Martin, I think it's the right time for my return, this forum should be the 1st place to post my videos, pics etc I'll start with a short review of the concert Thanks Remy and welcome back. Do you have a set list for the concert? It would be very interesting to see Hi Graham, sorry for not replying in advance, yesterday I could not connect to internet (things of work... ) The setlist may be next, but I will confirm next week.

Hello to all, I've been away from the forum a long time due to work and health problems mainly. After the concert of Martin, I think it's the right time for my return, this forum should be the 1st place to post my videos, pics etc I'll start with a short review of the concert Great Martin's concert in Barcelona. Bassist seems to me something exceptional. Actually, Martin takes an incredible rhythm section. With a bassist and a drummer of that caliber is much easier to do it all ... Concerts are decreasing Tull songs and increase folk and blues songs. Martin has fun on stage and it shows, all the audience stand up ( no seats) to just one meter of the musicians, it was a great show for the fans but Martin deserves more public, the hall was small for a capacity of 225 people and was not full, maybe 150 people... Robert Mills again showed how NOT to organize a musical event. Many people went to Sala Bikini, no warnings and arrived late to the concert at Sala Razzmatazz 3, which is on the other side of town... After the concert the musicians joined the audience and signed autographs and photos for anyone who wanted. We also took the opportunity to congratulate Martin on his birthday The almost forgotten Q & A was delivered in hand by myself, Martin said OK no problem ... due the tour has-been very busy and the communication has-been difficult but hopefully this time will be the definitive... Thanks for a great review Remy and a warm welcome back to The Forum. It's a shame the crowd was on the small size but very good to hear that Martin and the band were happy to mingle with the audience after the show. It just proves what a nice bunch of people they really are. There is a saying in the music that says "if you admire someone does not know him" more than anything because you can take a big disappointment. Many stars have a very big ego and treat the follower like scum. Not so the great Martin Barre this summer at the convention had exemplary behavior. Martin was trying with excellence to which we organized Tullianos Convention. But on Sunday, at the concert, I watched as treats us again. He did not forget any one's face and gave her a warm hug to everyone when you see someone do that you've idolized, admired and revered... there is nothing else to take your hat and explain it to everyone. THANKS MARTIN BARRE!!!

Yeah I think that's pretty much the setlist, except that he didn't play Up to Me but Hymn 43 (extremely cool mandolin re-arrangement), at least in Madrid.

Published on Saturday, November 22, 2014 With a subscription topics: martin barre jethro tull shelly bonnet Martin Barre (2014) © REX Music Theatre 12 Jethro Tull's Martin Barre celebrated in Germany celebrated the penultimate gig of his European tour in Bensheim Music Theatre Rex the music of Jethro Tull and discovers his old Blue past new. Of course, there are mainly aged in dignity Jethro Tull fans who populate the Bensheimer Music Theatre Rex numerous to ogle the support act Shelly Bonnet curious. The American with German roots in Heidelberg manages to pull together with her guitarist auditorium with stimmgewaltigem Blue Rock on their side in their half-hour appearance. The crowd celebrates downright for her famoses cover of the Allman Brothers classic "Whipping Post" and especially for her interpretation of the Led Zeppelin classic "Ramble On". A completely successful match for Martin Lancelot Barre. Prologue: This was ...? If you after 43 years in a band like Jethro Tull in 2012 suddenly does not want to count among the line-up of mastermind Ian Anderson or a strong kick with his own band and own concept falls certainly not easy. After all, it was Martin Barre 32 years longer endured at the side of the great maker of progressive folk and blues rock band from Blackpool as the rest of the successful and popular seventies line-ups. Too long toured with Jethro Tull Greatest Hits programs through the world, but little creative and new born in the 20 years before 2012 under the banner once so successful the light of day. The decision Andersons in 2012, "Thick as a Brick II" and currently "Homo Erraticus" completion immediately and replace it with the younger Lookalike Florian Ophale from Germany in style and match to get the first time in decades, positive record reviews without Barre, must have been incentive enough for Martin Barre, himself an active act as a solo artist. Still got the blues Without the addition of "Jethro Tull's" do not want to get both Anderson and Barre solo. Too valuable and well known is the brand to the great history of the band. Martin Barre's current recordings "Order To Play" includes not only Blue standards mainly Jethro Tull-interpretations, which were recorded live in the studio. The clearance succeed Barre this evening, however, almost across the board. With Bobby Parker's Blue Rock anthem "Watch Your Step" puts his new band consisting of bass heavyweight Alan Thompson, Jung-drummer George Lindsay and the young singer, guitarist and songwriter Dan Crisp hungry go and is reminiscent of the natural power of the early Dr. Feelgood, as they moved in the late seventies by the small London clubs. Fits contributes an audience a veteran Marquee T-shirt from the seventies. twin guitars The Blues is Martin Barre's passion and he had to learn in 1969 with the auditions for his reception at Jethro Tull countless standards, he likes to play again today. "Smokestack Lightning", "Rock Me Baby" or "Crossroads" are celebrated with devotion of his band and show Martin Barre in top form. Richard Beesley, who would be at other concerts in the last three years the band on saxophone and clarinet increased to this point certainly been an asset. Thus, the two guitars of Barre and Crisp are the focus, the duel each other or as a "twin guitars" in the style of Wishbone Ash dominate the songs. Martin Barre sprinkled some folky instrumentals from his solo albums and Dan Crisp also plays a few Mainstreaming-pop originals, which are considered like the audience with applause. To a surprising highlight, however, become the Porcupine Tree Cover "Blackest Eyes". Martin Barre & band interpreted the song the band of the Anderson-confidant Steven Wilson as a massive indie hit with light Industri Alan sounds. In the second part: Martin Barre as an entertainer, Dan Crisp as Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull very many classics
