Considering the way movies were made in those days, this was amazing...

They are removing most of the Shirley Temple movies from Youtube... Money speaks... typical! Were you a lonesome Shirley Temple fan in Denmark? Well, in the 70's I watched a lot of German television. We had one Danish channel, in Denmark, and three German channels. In other words: If I wanted to watch television, I simply had to learn German... I then started to watch German television very intensely about 5 hours every day, trying to learn the language. I think my family thought that I was a little crazy... and now they know that I'm crazy... If I saw someone on German television pick up a fork, and say the word fork... (... in German..) I would then memorize the word by repeating it endlessly... and that's the way I learned German. I saw a lot of Shirley Temple films on German television during those years, and by the way... She speaks brilliant German... So, I associate Shirley Temple with my own childhood... To me she is the absolute best child star I have ever seen! There are moments in her films that are absolutely priceless... and I think that if we, adults, would only take some of what she is doing, and use it, we would actually be alright... and it's not the tap-dancing I'm talking about...
