The Yardbirds are an under-rated piece of first wave rock history. I had two singles..'for your love' and 'ha ha laughed the clown'....if you say it's a good book, I'll look for it toute suite.

The Yardbirds are an under-rated piece of first wave rock history. I had two singles..'for your love' and 'ha ha laughed the clown'....if you say it's a good book, I'll look for it toute suite. A worthy book but I haven't seen it on sale on ebay et al. As it's written by two former members of the band it seems quite an accurate history of what, in truth, was a fairly short lived musical outfit. As an aside, I watched Eric Clapton (former Yardbird) on Sky Arts last night, recorded in California in 2002. Interestingly one of the keyboard players simulated the sound of a saxophone by using a device he blew into while playing the notes on the keyboard. First time I've ever seen this piece of equipment. a - does anyone know of this device ? b - maybe of use for John O'Hara if anyone can persuade IA to perform APP ?
