I thought I'd put something about some other bands I've been listening to recently. I came across Guy Manning on the Prog Rock Archives. He sounds uncannily like Ian Anderson (but without the cynicism) and the flautist on some of the CDs is from one of the Tull tribute bands which adds to the similarity somewhat. www.guymanning.com/2009site/index.htmlwww.guymanning.com/Audio%20Samples/The%20Huntsman%20&%20the%20Poacher.mp3www.youtube.com/watch?v=thJJvw-hugE (not the best quality) Another band I came across on the same website is Red Jasper. Started by Davie Dodds who was a folk singer, they described themselves as Tull meets Motorhead but in reality they're nowhere near as heavy as that, probably no more so than Tull. They've got a similar prog/rock meets folk sound but on some of the earlier albums are a bit more pagan/fantasy orientated. redjasperband.com/www.youtube.com/watch?v=OadSw8iErS4 (stick with it it builds up nicely) I saw them live in a pub near Swindon in May last year with Crimson Sky as the support act. As we were watching Crimson Sky there was this Welsh bloke standing next to me talking loudly to these two women. After about 10 or 15 minutes I was just about to say "Oi c### shut the heck up" when he wandered away. About half an hour later when Red Jasper came on I realised he was the keyboard player.

That's funny...yeah, guys in bands can be pretty obnoxious/oblivious/hilarious/annoying when chatting up fans of the female variety.
