I viewed a Jethro Tull video called Too old to rock and roll on youtube; very entertaining!
The band is noted in the beginning as old but toward the end they appear younger. During a particular part in the video Tull is depicted as a submarine captain tossing his breakfast while the band is wearing military garb.
At the end of the video a young woman with blue/purple hair is playing the sax, is she actually playing the sax or just a model? I cannot find any information concerning the above sax player since she appears to be talented' very cute also.
Perhaps someone can shed some light on the above musician.

Most probably an actress/model hired for the video shoot and miming to the backing track monk51Welcome to the JT Forum.

Maddogfagin, thank you for the info.
The odd part is that at the beginning of the video a date is noted: 1976. Wow, almost 38 years ago...im old...
I didn't think a Rock band used an actress/model for miming a musical instrument, during the latter time the artist/musician found playing the instrument very important; being noticed!
The lyric writing of Tull is pure story telling, he reminds me in a similar way to Jim Croce, both have a gift. Truthfully, I lean more toward Ian's vocal sound since it take's one away to the satire of Piccadilly Circus! However, Croce's lyrics would draw upon his view of the scenery when driving a big rig through Eastern USA.
Again, thanks.

Funny thing...the original sax player on that song, David Palmer, is now a woman...Dee Palmer. Go figure !

Correct, Steelmonkey!
Before I posted the question I researched the web (a few days on/off) and located what you stated - of which made the research even more confusing... Regarding my opinion, perhaps a sax is difficult to include in a rock band, I know a few artists that use it but it is hit or miss most of the time; like the song: Too old to Rock and Roll (brief part), yet well done.

David Palmer playing sax on TOTRARTYTD preceded his change to Dee Palmer by about 20 years...
