Thanks for posting the Solé illustrations - hadn't seen them before.
The Melody Maker one by Hunt Emerson is a classic and my original copy of that edition of MM is tucked away safely in my collection. I remember buying about five copies at the time so I could pass them on to others who couldn't get a copy. They must be worth a small(ish) fortune these days.
