I spent part of my Birthday at Whitby where it was the Annual Spring Goth Weekend.
Here's some of my photo's.
More to come including a video, when I make it.

[glow=red,4,300]Whitby Rocks![/glow] This festival reminds me of Halloween over here but in a more stylish way. I love the detail and effort which gives this a unique atmosphere in a creative parade of coolness..

Can't wait to see more...great photos of an absolutely intriguing event. Goth scene not at all pathetic many years later.

love it!! I love the elegant dracula look. The masks/breathing apparatus ones are scary. and the big clown. I'm definately going some year.

Wonderful John. My youngest granddaughter will love watching your Goths. A question - why Whitby of all places ?

That's Aerial Spellbinder and I'm still waiting patiently for an announcement of his shows.
"Look into my eyes, look into my eyes.... if you see me in a concert you will not under any circumstances, shout the word - Aqualung..."

Just found this lovely print of Whitby, complete with creepy castle, from an artist that I was ordering from. She's based in Hebden Bridge where Duncan's heading to see Martin. Hebden Bridge looks gorgeous i40.images obliterated by tinypic/1yo83k.jpg[/IMG] www.katelycett.co.uk/shop/lanterns/

Still finding things that remind me of this thread. These pics were taken in Glasgow and I don't think it was a Goth weekend either "Plague doctor sitting on a park bench...eyeing up potential victims with great intent..." i39.images obliterated by tinypic/axo7eh.jpg[/IMG] and beautiful Whitby well worth a visit! i43.images obliterated by tinypic/n6xksn.jpg[/IMG]

That lovely photo of Whitby is just what I wanted to take when I went there on Oct. 1st last year. I tested my OAP's bus pass to the limit when I set off from home at 06.30 and after riding on 4 buses I finally arrived at Whitby at 12 .20. I had to rush around the town taking as many photo's as I could before catching the 14. 20 bus back. I arrived back home at 18.15 with my wife giving me strange looks. She thinks I'm barmy but I reckon she's just jealous because she doesn't have a her bus pass yet. I waited ages for these steps to be clear of people but in the end I had to call it a day.

Some beautiful costumes, must take a while getting it all together - some just let it hang out I spotted him from Wizard, a man that looks like a man that works in my bank and Aqualung complete with false eye/compass. Brilliant stuff
