Who has time for yet another Locomotive Breath ? Me, I guess...nice to see Scott Hammond back....good sound all around and Florian running across the stage looking like a German grocer chasing a shoplifter.

Florian running across the stage looking like a German grocer chasing a shoplifter. HAHAHAHAHA He's not at that page yet in How to Be a Guitarist - Onstage" the bit where the guitarist runs up and remembers to run back down!

It's such a gorgeous song...Headmaster looked pleased as well.
I'll catch a ride on your violin --- strung upon your bow. And I'll float on your melody --- sing your chorus soft and low ~

One White Duck - Brilliant, Brilliant, I choose my username because this song, and indeed the B side of Minstrel, are amonst my very favourite Tull ever. Agree with Jim, emotional to watch live. ( Did I just really say emotional ) Must be getting soft in my middle age - I'm off to chat up the blonde in the chip shop, drink 12 pints and have a chicken vindaloo on the way home!! there again might stay at home and watch the video again.
Cheers

Cheers Onesoftduck I was just thinking too that (as you know) MIG isn't even in my top 5 albums and yet with a song like that it deserves to be. It was a pity that the title track left me cold and still does.

I really love One White Duck, it just shows how Ian Anderson can make words and music come together in a way that no one else can. And for me; my dreams are for dreaming and best left that way.

Well said. Many Tull songs can create images in your mind while you listen. Some are surreal while others are vivid. I tend to get misty also from the melodies too. Not always from the lyrics. Even Macho Tull Dudes can cry.

Speaking of Tull dudes getting emotional about an old song...am I dreaming or does it look like Ian is sincerely impressed as he sees and hear what a beautiful song he wrote? When he looked at the woman, to be sure she didn't miss 'take a ride on your violin' cue to play....he was seemed to be animated by the spirit if a true Tull fan.

Welcome bjossiluGreat way to start off with good ole' Mother Goose. Ian likes to get up close and personal with hot violinists. 'Hey Jim, whatsa you doing here?' In otherwords...better lay off the violinist lest you anger the Giant. I am always a gentleman with all extremely hot and talented violinists. They love to be appreciated.

That's right, Jim. Very kind of you to have remembered. Only a few hours separate me from the concert in Turin, and some more 'than the next day in Verona. I literally feel happy for this! In addition, 'the weather' s perfect, so I can go there by bike. Tell you 'all next Wednesday' for Friends of the Forum.

Many thanks to Michele (Chea) for his review of the shows in Turin and Verona. Great Set List too! I'm glad to hear the performance was better than the conditions at the Villafranca. Image by Marco Pessina / Video by Gianluigi Salvagno
