O man Graham, not sure I could have heard a more fitting song for Monday morning coffee than Ragged Heroes, had me clapping right along playing that sucker loud, and a very well put together video which I am about to put on Facebook. By way of exchange posting something I feel dead certain I have already posted here, but looking in my last 20 its not there, as good a video job on a classic I have seen, Fairports A Sailors Life. www.youtube.com/watch?v=szrGtFxtWXU

By way of exchange posting something I feel dead certain I have already posted here, but looking in my last 20 its not there, as good a video job on a classic I have seen, Fairports A Sailors Life. www.youtube.com/watch?v=szrGtFxtWXU St George's Day is on April 23rd. Songs of hope and tunes of glory Half remembered Albion hymns Rise up Saint George and tell the story This is where your song begins Leave the drunkard to his bottle And leave the prophet to his doom Let the critics sneer and prattle Give Saint George some fighting room Come, come, throw a penny on the drum A penny for the passing of the days Run, run, and see the setting of the sun Come and see the changing of the ways Where are all the ragged heroes? Buried in their suits of so fine? Withered rose lies on the headstone Will it bloom a second time? Come come and throw a penny on the drum A penny for the passing of the hour Run, run, and see the rising of the sun Come and see the blooming of the flower Throw a penny piece, a penny on the drum And the withered rose will rise up like the sun Words & music by John Tams

A friend just sent this saying who needs red bull. I have no idea who he is or what he's wearing on his feet?

Certainly the only relation to Jethro Tull in this is the quality of execution. Nina Simone making a very painful blues out of Irving Berlin's You Can Have Him. youtu.be/Yyfwdyls730

The rest of this album is great as well. If anyone's not a Dire Straits fan do check it out.

Must confess I didn't know too much about Van the Man as a boy and when he was in the band Them. So went youtubing and came up with this. Is it me or does he look like Kenneth Williams funkier brother? This isn't the best video of the band as apparently Van hated miming but what a sound i46.images obliterated by tinypic/4kbbd4.jpg[/IMG]

For those of us who remember the original Canadian commander Chris Hadfield has shared with the world his cover version of David Bowie's Space Oddity, which he recorded on the International Space Station.
The full video was posted on YouTube shortly before Hadfield handed over command of the space station to Russia's Pavel Vinogradov.
Hadfield has been on the International Space Station since December 2012 and in command of the vessel since March. He will now return to Earth.Published on 12 May 2013 by Chris Hadfield

Whilst flying at 36,000 ft a couple of weeks ago I was listening to A Passion Play and drinking a toast to Bernie my friend, fellow mod and APP lover I heard these two songs as they came out while I had my mp3 player on shuffle. I thought they went together well. Doesn't Art Garfunkel have a beautiful voice on this live recording.
