Looks like EMI have now got their act together over this and it'll be interesting to know if anyone has any trouble getting a replacement disc.
Think I may use the original disc as a coffee cup coaster. Unless anyone comes up with a better idea ;D

When it comes to proof of purchase I could probably give them the serial code on the back of the box as proof. If you get no reply, a scan of the original faulty disc might help. This is what I sent them Attachments:

Unless anyone comes up with a better idea ;D Considering the possible rarity of the defective pressings, save them and sell as collector treasure 20 years from now, and then you can pay for the 48/192 version of Aqualung, available on an Apple iWristwatch player with 4 terrabytes of memory.

Ah yes, good thinking. If I'm still around in 20 years time I'll pass it onto my heirs as a family heirloom. Beats the hell out of antique furniture or china

Nothing wrong with having another flat transfer of the stereo sound on DVD for that other room stereo only player. or Share the stereo, give the stereo to a friend. No one will really miss the missing yeah. Did you? Does the UK album (LP or CD) have a final yeah? It's on the first USA CD. It is not on any North American LP that I know of. cats are on the upgrade

Must have heard yeah on your UK copy, back in the year One. And not to get too technical on these matters, when TAAB was first issued in the UK, Chrysalis may have "contracted out" some of the pressings to various pressing plants, much in the same way that records by the Beatles were, so that you could have any number of the same album with slight differences depending on the equipment used by these diverse companies. The only way to tell would be to check matrix numbers on the run out groove area in the record and to check on an infinite number of actual records. This may have happened in the US as well so in many ways it would be impossible to state accurately after all this time where TAAB was pressed and how many companies were used.

Just a reminder that the first TAAB Collector's Edition was recalled because the 5.1 is too bright and distorts in parts. (see corrected DVD with line above) The mastering was removed and the corrected edition is a flat transfer of the 5.1.

Should I give up hope of this ever being reissued?! I got a faulty copy from amazon, was refunded and then procrastinated and missed out on a corrected version!

Sorry to say but it looks as if it's "now out of stock" in it complete version but there were a couple of glitches with the release originally but I can't say what the outcome was about these.

Cheers Some people definitely got replacements from Amazon UK, but for whatever reason, they refunded mine without even giving me the option. Dunno if being all the way down here in Australia had anything to do with it.
