Stand back folks, rant coming........... Just seen on Ebay some sonofa---ch selling 2 tickets for the Tull show in Oxford on March 6th for £160 - wouldn't mind quite so much if it was a case of "sudden family bereavement so can't go to the show" or similar excuse. Also, wouldn't be quite so bad if this greedy devil wasn't charging so much. As you can see, this so-and-so lives maybe 3000 miles from Oxford, so had no intention of going to the show. Does anybody know a way of preventing mercenary buggers like our mate in New Jersey making a profit on ticket sales like this, maybe preventing 2 genuine Tull fans from attending the show who are a bit strapped for cash? I suppose I'm a soft-hearted naive old fart who's just got to accept it's a case of supply and demand. cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jethro-Tull-2-x-Tickets-The-New-Theatre-Oxford-06-03_W0QQitemZ220540291030QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Tickets_Tickets_LE?hash=item335939c7d6

What a con artist - e-tickets???
Under the heading "What pi**ed you off in the last 50 years" should be the experience of waiting outside the Hammersmith Odeon to try and get front row tickets for a Tull show at that venue, only to find that when the booking office finally opened, the front row tickets had all been sold and . . . there had been no one in front of us in the queue. When challenged about this, the clerk blushed and said, in a low "off the record voice" they'd all gone 24 hours before the official date. My phone calls to the Odeon management went unanswered and the local trading standards office didn't want to know.
It turned out that the front row tickets had been bought by one of the well known bastard touts ticket agencies as we knew a couple of the people who were in the front row on the night. It turned out they had payed over twice the asking price for them.

Hey Skully, put your foot down. Complain to your local politicians (they'll listen if there's an election on the horizon as there is here in the UK), write letters of complaint, phone the newpapers, send a pack of dogs there to p1ss in the snow. Do anything - I do not want to hear of this despicable event happening again. [glow=red,2,300]KEEP THE SKI SLOPES OPEN FOR SKULLY[/glow]

She was told to ski on another mountain that fit her needs better.. NICE!!!... NOT!!!

well |I was one of the geeks who linked across the waves at 5am this morning with other Lost geeks to watch the finale. I loved the show because it didn't spoon feed the plot had a stunning location and kept me an junior guessing (kept him off PS3) and it also had Josh Holloway anyway they promised answers we wanted answers - not all the answers - some of us have half a brain what we got was more questions and not many answers and a part cheesy - seen it all before end. ah well suppose the actors/writers/crew who spent 6 years on Hawaii being handsomely paid are still smiling

the death of one of the best speechmakers and a man of passion/politics and principles - three words not oft used together nowadays www.heraldscotland.com/news/home-news/former-trade-union-leader-jimmy-reid-dies-1.1047567part of his inaugural speech as rector of Glasgow Uni " "...A rat race is for rats. We're not rats. We're human beings. Reject the insidious pressures in society that would blunt your critical faculties to all that is happening around you, that would caution silence in the face of injustice lest you jeopardise your chances of promotion and self-advancement..." Dear P.,
I found my glasses, when I came home from work and still had my sunglasses on to look for my regular specs, on top of the toilet in the less used bathroom...have you looked there for your relationship or ahve you already declared yourself better off.....in which case you need to move the posting to the 'made my week thread'....From this far vantage, with my glasses restored to my face, it looks like his loss...

Dear B., Thank you, you are lovely, however I think it's time to trade in the regular specs which you retrieved in the lesser used bathroom due to the fact that I did as you said and posted on the "What Made My Week" thread simultaneously as on this thread about the demise of my Tull unappreciated* relationship * amongst other things

Trying to change cd's so I could listen to "Too old to rock and roll" as I went up on the A1 by Scotch Corner yesterday(not a good idea while driving at 70+ M.P.H.) I'm afraid I failed But I cheered myself up by listening to "Thick As A Brick" instead ;D

You islanders are lucky to have Tull geography everywhere you look...Here in SF we have to content ouselves with no more than: Anderson street, Duncan Street, The Oakland 'A's' baseball team and the occasional obese male pedestrian to give us Tull prompts on the road.
