The Dave's Picks' art has cleverly alluded to the specific venue and/or culture of the region in which released shows have been played. This is one of my favorites ("The Fox" inspired an even better show back on 5/19/77!)
Hoffman's ethereal cover art is a brilliant companion to the often dark and haunting performances on one of my favorite albums.
I love early Mascis (& Murph) - through "Bug", that is - and, for me, this is the catalogue's pinnacle; moreover, employment of Szabo's "Priscilla" is perhaps the penultimate marriage of art and title, not to mention correlation with the unconventional and iconoclastic music and themes within.../k
Edit: Darn, WSITGM and GM posted small...click to enlarge should you care

I'm in love with The Alan Parsons Project's The Turn of a Friendly Card... both the cover and the CD design, it's extremely cool. Plus it may be my favourite TAPP album. _

This should have been in at the start. i61.images obliterated by tinypic/2zzlzrd.jpg[/IMG] What can you say? Epic, mysterious, compulsive and the music wasn't half bad either Oh how I loved this band and album. "It's me on the cover of Argus. We shot it in the South of France – I'm wearing Ken Russell's helmet and cloak from The Devils and, I'm sorry to say, in our rush to get back to London, we left Roman Polanski's sword from Macbeth in the layby. There's a school of thought that the cover was the inspiration for Darth Vader. I think it is indeed one of the greatest, least known albums." The top ten album covers, and its historyEl Pais / RollingStoneSpencer Elden, the naked baby on the cover of Nevermind, has a great phrase to flirting with the girls: "Wanna see my penis ... again?". In 2007, in an interview with MTV, Elden said he feels weird with his place in history. "It's shocking that millions of people have seen me naked," said: "I feel like the biggest porn star in the world". At his parents only paid them $ 200 per session, but to Elden have paid much more to recreate the famous photo.
