I see that the Canadians are very good at chasing after bronze, and once they win one, in immediately getting disqualified and going back into the DNA pool to try to figure what they'll do in another 4 years time.
Let's face it, for Canada, the summer Olympics are a joke, we're just there to enjoy the beer, what matters for us is the Winter Olympics. We skate, we ski, we slide. Simple.

Whatever you thought of the music or the choice of artists the light show (if it's still called that) was fantastic. The dancers/actors/volunteers/Art design/ were superb and the amount of money spent on it - phenominal! I see they are now going to add housing etc and they have planned use of the site for the next two hundred years - good luck with that! - maybe they could allocate the houses to the fit and fabulous instead of the poor and needy.
Best song for me was Running Up The Hill and here's my best version of it -play both videos together.
fatrabbitslim ;D

The Who and Eric Idle were rather fine I thought - both bound to turn up on youtube eventually I expect. I think Running Up That Hill was an audio only though. The Spice Girls and George Michael were a waste of time imo.

The final speech from our soon to be PM and you can tell that by the squirming, thin smiled Dave standing next to him. Bonkers Boris says farewell to the wonderful Olympics. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19549553"You (the Olympic stars) caused spontaneous conversation on the tube" ;D He'll make a great leader - amusing, did I mention bonkers and probably start a right old British takeover somewhere in the world.

About Olympics, maybe this is funny: the 27 July, was returning driving on a freeway from a short trip to work, when my wife calls me and asks me "back soon, 'cause we have to go to the airport with two cars". What happened is that because "the invasion" in London because of the Olympics, suddenly, her brother, his wife, two kids, my son with his girlfriend and a friend, who reside and work in the capital, have preferred to pass more than two settimanein Italy, waiting for the situation to return to normal. I had pretty much in total, 10 people at my house all the time!! A summer in good company ..

This doesn't have to do with the Olympic Games, but I say it anyway. I want to make my condolences for the assassination of the American Ambassador in Libya, to American Fans, and express disapproval for what happened!! Those are true barbarians.

I wonder when the human race will realise that violence and murder never solves anything. Maybe another thousand years- if we're still here.
