In one of the recent interviews I read, IA mentioned that Doane had been unwell and he was concerned about him touring. Anyone know how he is keeping and if he is likely to be able to keep "on the road"? One of my favourite drummers and seems like a good guy as well...
Heather is great. I was fortunate to sit right next to her a few years back at a Tull gig in Ventura County, Thousand Oaks Performing Art center I believe, and she and a friend had a great time as did the whole arena. We chatted in between the hoots and hollers, it was quite a night and she was very gracious. Doane and Heather both look in good health in that picture.
tootull: And tonight flies a better moon. - No buzz words, fuzzy fudge words - Cool in the corner, tom cat sitting - Orange order in a field of green. - Reflecting echoes of quiet laughter - Oh well, you're making it all (Ted) sound just the same.

FrontDoorAngel: I hear you calling in your...Scream Dream... er...Sweet Dream! Get out and get what you can!

FrontDoorAngel: Speaking of which, am I the only one who hugely prefers the version of Sweet Dream on Bursting Out to the studio version? I hardly ever prefer live versions anymore, now that I've gotten used to the albums, but I still prefer that live version.

FrontDoorAngel: Though I must say their 12 minute plus encapsulation of TAAB on Bursting Out was amazing too, though I prefer the studio album. I just wish the 72 LP had been slowed down and even pitched down a notch.

tootull: I don't really like Sweet Dream & add Witches Promise to that, but they are still better than listening to Nugent...

JTull 007: That makes sense to me. Sometimes I listen to the studio version and it really grabs me. When I hear the live version it feels like I'm watching the show in my mind. DVDs are also lots of fun...

FrontDoorAngel: Studio Sweet Dream is not one of my fave Tull songs, but I love Witch's Promise, especially the "Keep looking keep looking" bit, and the beautiful flute melody with strings after that.

maddogfagin: Must admit I do like Sweet Dream and Witch's Promise in their original form - reminds me constantly of buying them from the local record shop and then rushing home to play them as if they were illicit goods that nobody else should know I had

maddogfagin: No but as Joe Walsh once sang "I keep on going, guess I'll never know why. Life's been good to me so far"

JTull 007: Welcome Back Bernie!!!! Not to be confused with Welcome Back Kotter... It's summer and I feel like a TULL 'Sweathog'
Jun 30, 2015 11:11:34 GMT
tootull: Suitable to Bernie Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out. Welcome back, to that same old place that you laughed about.
Jun 30, 2015 13:57:22 GMT
JTull 007: Well the names have all changed since you hung around, But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.

tootull: Who'd have thought he’d stand on one leg for ya (Who'd have thought he'd play lead flute for ya) Back to the Tull family here where we need ya (Here where we need ya) Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've got him on the spot, Welcome back, welcome back...
