Dear friends, I know that I don't usually write on this forum but I would like to tell to all Jethro's fans (that know me and that don't know me) that I'm working on my new "solo" album with 3 Jethro Tull past members as guests: Mr. Clive Bunker, Mr. Jonathan Noyce and Mr. Andrew Giddings. As you know I'm first of all a Jethro Tull fan and also I'm a member (acoustic guitar, mandolin and backing vocals) of "Beggar's Farm" (the Official Italian Jethro Tull Tribute Band). I had the opportunity to work with this great musicians that now are friends and I would like to share with you this great satisfaction. The cd will be available next autumn. If you want some information about my work please mail me to andrea_vercesi@libero.it All the best wishes. Andrea. www.myspace.com/vercesiandreawww.youtube.com/user/andreavercesi

I will surely report about the Fairport concert. It is the first time for me.I'have never been to a F.C show. If my wife 's leg will be ok,we will be in U.K in march so it's a pity i'll miss Cropredy.(But in march i won't miss J.T in Manchester!!! )

Hi friends.I met Andrea last friday. He told us about his first CD,it's now available.Three past J.T importants members.Eleven extremely interesting pieces in quite Tull mood.In four or them the famous guests are playing. And EVEN in the inside notes five lines written by I.A wishing Andrea all best results to this and next projects. I have been listening for it three times over a very foggy, rainy week end as we got actually and i believe you will find the right sound that people from Forum like this would expect.Easy to feel Tull threads, but that's important,in my opinion without imitations .That is what i really don't like watching covers bands.I find it the most honest approach towards a new project. img694.imageshack.us/i/1000619q.jpg/

I'm not a great fan of any cover bands and although some of them might put on a good show I would feel that I was missing the original. I will listen to Andrea now with my second coffee looking out at an equally grey wet morning - which is probably heading eastwards towards mainland Europe - sorry

Ps What do think of Oxford? been years and years since I was last there. Had tea in an olde tearoom Hi Nonrabbit. I enjoy very much that town. I have never been there before my daughter started studyng in that town, unfortunately. I also haven't seen much because i remained there only three days last month, but we will be in London for this week end, and we will go in Oxford to see our daughter, as well. I remember some very good restaurants ( a bit expensive ), very tipical British style. We also did a little ceck up to my wife's British oversize car, and this costed the same as in Italy, I'm happy to say. ( the dog likes very much the new place, we think.. ) M.

laprovinciapavese.gelocal.it/ [ google translation] "Blue" is the third album of VercesiThe singer Broni tells the life of every day "with the rhythms of Jethro Tull always in my heart" December 27, 2015 laprovinciapavese.gelocal.it/tempo-libero/2015/12/27/news/blue-ecco-il-terzo-album-di-vercesi-1.12683332?refresh_ceBRONI. Youtube on his guitar and voice cover of Jethro Tull have registered thousands of views but the musician Bronese Andrea Vercesi is not only an interpreter. From 1 January, in fact, on Google Play and its results will be available during "Blue", the third album signed and totally self-produced by songwriter ours: "Just as I had done for the first two albums" Surrounded By Music "and" Mad Fallen Leaf "- explained Vercesi- for" Blue "I chose the self, with the difference that in the latter case are not recourse to any kind of cooperation, singing and playing guitar, bass and percussion. If the second album I was happy to "accommodate" musicians like Gary Pickford Hopkins, Paolo Bonfanti, Franco Taulino, Marcello Chiaraluce and three former members of Jethro Tull Clive Bunker, Andrew Giddings and Jonathan Noyce, in this work I wanted to do everything alone, so as to highlight their originality. " The album, which will be officially presented for the first time in Spaziomusica January 16, consists of ten tracks in English: "For the most part - told Vercesi - are portraits, descriptions of characters with their own clearly defined format, a character, a personality. Often I am inspired to write to people I know and I attribute them the traits that have, turning them into someone else and making them protagonists of my pieces. In addition to the songs so constructed I then added some songs about values and important things in life, the topical and of everything that happens in the world. I like the songs express my point of view, trying not to make a political issue ever, always maintaining a very personal view of my surroundings. " Self-taught, Vercesi has long been guitarist of "Beggar's Farm" (the Italian official tribute to the British Jethro Tull) and in 2008 he accompanied the same Ian Anderson in the Italian convention "iTullians": "On that occasion - he said - I played mandolin for him during "Weathercock", a wonderful experience that will remain forever in our hearts. The music of Anderson and Jethro Tull has always influenced me very much and continues to do so today, in this last album. Arranged in a simple, "Blue" is a disc sincere and clear, I am able to express myself. " The album will be available from January on Google Play and 16 January during the official presentation at Spaziomusica. Anyone wishing to can have it send to writing andrea_vercesi@libero.it Serena Simula

LoSpecchio blog ArtMusic-zine FAR LIGHT ... CREATE REFLECTIONS Music, Nature and Enchantment: a July evening with Andrea Vercesi and the music of Jethro Tull LINK 1 In the summer of summer, you will be invited to leave the city for a few hours, to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, to listen to good music and to spend some hours in a pleasant company. If the protagonist of the evening has recently been guest of Lo Specchio pages and has given us a rich interview you can only say "present".
I speak of Andrea Vercesi, a pop musician who sat on the Saturday of July 8th, on the floating house of Antonio Sardano, entertained us for a couple of hours in the company of the music of Jethro Tull in a very evocative context in which he breathed an air Of conviviality.
With my travel companions Maurizio, Francesca and Raffaella, we leave Milan in the late afternoon to head towards Linarolo, Ponte della Becca. In the trunk there are some snacks including a cold salad of tomato, olives, mozzarella and basil. Simple, fresh and I hope it will be welcomed. Once arrived on the spot and after parking the car, we reach Antonio's house and immediately, the impression is that we have come to a place full of poetry, welcoming and almost out of time.
Other people come. They make snacks of all kinds, sweet and savory, and the evening begins with a rich aperitif, talk and jokes. Mosquitoes are also companions, but here they are home and they are not so much annoying at the end.
Time flies and light begins to fall. We head down to the river, where the concert will take place. There is still some free seat on the boat anchored to the floating cabin and I do not pray for one.
Fresh air does not circulate, but it breathes beauty. Turning to look at the landscape around us, it's amazing. Yes it also sees the central islet that somebody reappears "the island that is there". The Wight Island also comes to mind, and since there is always a reason for every thought that passes, there is a reason for it: Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 is an album recorded by Jethro Tull during the concert in Occasion of the famous 1970 Festival and published in 2004.
Antonio introduces the evening with some words and the music begins to fill the air and makes the canter more bearable even if the atmosphere "warms", however, of enthusiasm and participation. I leave these sensations so spontaneous and natural, and when I turn back to look around, I see a beautiful moon that is mirroring in the water, while the frogs grace and seem to want to participate even with their song.
I admit that while I love music at 360 degrees with some limit dictated by my own personal taste, I can not define myself exactly as a fan of Jethro Tull and / or an expert in knowing their music.
I also find true what Andrea also says: "You love or detest them" I appreciate them as so many genres that do not necessarily fall into my list but I always find a space that excites me.
Anyway, let's go back to the concert ... among the many songs in the rich ladder that has carefully prepared Andrea, I know some songs like Thick As a Brick that in my opinion his voice makes it even more interesting and precious.
Along with the end of the evening there is also Leandro Paddy Pessina on the flute. Together they make a fascinating version of Aqualung that I have partially filmed and I offer you here below ... listen to believe!
To close, in beauty, also two pieces of Andrea's production, including a Sweet Eyes (I hope to remember the title correctly), really charming ... What else to say Thanks to the availability and generosity of Andrea and Antonio, who He designed and made this evening possible and in Mauritius that allowed me to be there.
With good music and good energies and ... Thanks also to those who appreciated my cold pasta - and they are satisfied
To know the upcoming dates of SoloAcustico, where you can listen to Andrea Vercesi's music, please visit his facebook page LINK 2 Next and Good Summer !
