Couldn't resist it! Walked into the local music store to purchase three microphone stands.... walked out with a new guitar! (well, new to me, it was second-hand, but in first class condition). I was smitten - saw it on the wall, clouds parted with shafts of sunlight and angels in a heavenly chord sang 'aaaaaaahhhhh' (I swear!) A mobile call to 'er good self' and some grovelling - permission came - and I am one happy bunny! Will now attempt a pic upload - PRS Singlecut 250 - they don't make these, these days.... Closer....

I bought an air guitar once. I'm brilliant on it.

Nice guitar you got there mate. Martin played a Black PRS single cut on Dot Com to great effect. Gibson stopped PRS making the singlecut if memory serves me correct.
ALways liked The Hamer Sunburst guitars Martin played in the late 70's,very rare these days. Ive got couple of newer Hamer Studios which are stunning guitars also.

Whilst PRS singlecuts got 'stopped' a while back - now PRS have the shackles off and have superceded their first SCs with the new SC 58. Check out their website - unashamedly modelled on the classic 1958 Les Paul

Well, the one I bought (and I can't speak for all the others of both makes) sounded far better (to these ears) than the Les Pauls they had in the store at the time. I could have purchased any of those on offer - but this model really grabbed me by the heart. It has a standard 3-way selector - phew! I know what you mean about rotary selectors. I had one on a Gibson L6-S I owned (way back when they first came out - wish I'd kept that one, actually!) - my sound engineer at the time, removed the rotary and replaced it with a 3-way and a wee miniture 3-way to one side for the out of phase selections. Customised the Custom then! I'll see if I can find a pic of the L6 and post it here.
