Look Ian, I got a boss with her hand up my ass to the wrist...and the mother of my child has Her hand up my ass to her elbow...so could you please announce the tour dates already so I have a little wiggle room to make plans for the USA tour?

Rock Edition was fortunate enough to get to speak with Ian Anderson about the new album and accompanying tour. Read on to find out more. www.rockedition.com/interviews/artist-interviews/interview-with-ian-anderson-of-jethro-tull/When will the tours be? We start in the middle of April in the UK; there are a whole bunch of tour dates that are currently up on JethroTull.com. As for the US tour dates, I know what they are! [laughs] I know where I'm going to be. It's been pretty much set in stone for a while, but there's been a few little tweaks and turns, and we're just getting close to that point where we will be putting the tickets on sale for two American tours that take place between mid-September and mid-November. Thanks for finding the above i/v TT

What's the guess, east coast September then west coast November? & yes, your misery is breaking me up. Your description is too funny. Sorry.

halfway between our current homes in about denver, TT, if you wanna do a gig together...plenty of places to stay...got Tull friends in the Mile High City. Don't worry...I don't talk, sing, fart, gesticulate nor otherwise annoy during Tull/Ian concerts and I usually only cry once per gig....during TAAB mostly but Life's a long song, jack-a-Lynn and maybe Budapest

www.examiner.com/classic-rock-music-in-paterson/ian-anderson-has-new-tour-album-approachingIan Anderson will be embarking on a Thick as a Brick Two tour starting in mid-April, but he will be in Europe throughout most of the summer. Thankfully, Anderson will reach the US starting September 18th in Florida through October 7th in Newark, NJ. Although specific dates and locations have not been officially announced, there's a rumour for a second leg of US tour dates in October and November in the West Coast and Midwest.

Has anybody heard of a low key warm up gig for the TAAB tour? I understand there was to be one on Thursday 12th April not a million miles from me, but it fell through earlier this week (Can't give you the details as it was all hush hush). I thought they might have something else lined up instead possibly near Perth, either that or nearer home in the SW, Swindon maybe? StCleve.com has them doing one at St Cleve on the 13th, is that a cover for the real thing or just a wind up?

They should have put cryptic clues somewhere in the St Cleve Chronicle - maybe they have

What is it called?, can't remember (not enough blood in the alcohol stream) - all I know it gave sh1t holes a bad name

MD. It's/was The Oasis Centre. I may have mentioned this before, but with the Hereford Leisure and Newport Leisure Centre the venues were $h1te. Why did Tull decide leisure centres were ok in the early 1990's? Mind you I was off my tree at Swindon on Beer!!!!

As to why Tull played there, and other sh1te holes on that particular tour; apparently it was all down to bad advice by the booking agent(s). Seem to remember the band didn't like it either which is not really surprising.

Had a few listens to the TAAB 2 snippets. Very briefly .......... Kismet ......... Sounds pretty good quite upbeat but I was left with the feeling if only ......... Martin was playing thoses guitar riffs? This should have been JT but thats another dead horse. Change of Horses. I think this is going to be a real classic, not a fan of f***ing accordians but works really well and looking forward to the whole song. great stuff. Banker Bets .... Ok nothing special but lets wait to see how it fits in with the theme of the whole album. All in all looking forward to the shows more than I have for a good few years. 3 hoorah's

Not close enough...yet...New Jersey...no doubt a sleazeball casino ( just right for some Tull fans, not me!) Texas? well...okay...Chicago...nice venue, i saw them there twice on Catfish and the place is a jewel and Ray along, tempting if nothing closer....I need California dates and I need them.....NOW......maybe I should go to Israel, see them thrice with my people and not risk Ian chickening out along the way., as has happened so often, and trading old war horses into the set and new stuff out by the time the tour gets to west coast USA. This is nerve-wracking and scary. How about a pre-England warm up date in San Francisco? How likely is that?

West Palm Beach is 90 miles North of Miami...say Hi to my elderly, Jewish relatives in nearby Boynton Beach wouldja ? Sure! Saw that but no regular price tickets for decent seats. All sold out to resellers. $325 for a single, first row balcony? Aw c'mon, Ian, what happened to playing small venues for the little people?

A few years ago I had to sit and watch that bloody purple dinosaur all the time on the TV. Please tell me he's now in rehab and refusing to ever perform again!
