Anyone attending the 40th anniversary of the the event that closed Red Rocks ampitheater to rock and roll for 6 long years? I'll be in the 8th row, but I won't bring a gas mask!

Does it help that I'll be there in spirit? Missed Red Rocks in 71 but saw Tull at the old $h1thole coliseum on the next few tours. Saw Tull at Red Rocks in 2008 during a vist to denver. saw many, many concerts at red Rocks...enough that slides shown of the area in Freshman geology at an Ohio college gave me flashbacks !

Yes it does. I'll be thinking about how a 6 year old girl might enjoy this show tomorrow night(!) and about how 40 years ago history was being made...and like you I missed it. I was supposed to be with a group of friends to attempt to "sneak in" or hear it from some rocky outcrop, but somebody forgot to pick me up and I sat for over an hour waiting and only heard the war stories the next day. I believed every one because I saw the bruises! That may be why the next year at the crappy coliseum when Ian took off the gas mask and launched into the entire TAAB performance, I was hooked forever. I'm glad you'll be there in spirit, as will my friend Donny who was killed later that summer and was also the friend that first turned me on to Aqualung that year too (not the friend who forgot to pick me up, Don had a ticket...) Looking forward to your review after the 14th...I will be posting some opinion probably as soon as I get home tomorrow. The pics and vids I get with my new camera may have to wait till the weekend, unfortunately I gotta go to work!
