Hadley Caliman played flute and sax on one of the most beautiful albums ever made - Caravanserai by Santana. Happily part of my collection from the 70's. You have to wait a bit for the flute ( at 4.28) buts that's not a bad thing. Watch out too for the change at 2.55 hadleycaliman.com/

I've yet to hear it in its entirety but it sounds rather good - it downloads as one file so has to be split into its separatate track by Audacity or similar. pastdaily.com/tag/paris-theater/

I have a few of their albums, a couple on old original vinyl, but replaced on CD. They could've been much bigger if they had written more simple tunes, too many long guitar solo waffling etc. A couple of great songs were, "Here Comes Mr Time", "You in your small Corner" and "The Light still Shines". Great stuff indeed

This was played on the radio in the UK last night - never heard it before. Bud Shank played the flute solo on "California Dreaming" by the Mamas and the Papas. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bud_Shank

www.knoxmercury.com/2017/03/23/local-music-review-white-stag-emergence/"White Stag also casts a wider net than before, digging even deeper into prog history for inspiration. Where the early EPs drew heavily from modern prog-metal giants like Opeth and Tool, the new album alludes to the dissonant funkiness of Gentle Giant (“Inhabitant Master”) and Ian Anderson’s darkest jazz flute-playing from Jethro Tull’s A Passion Play."
