You're right Bunkerfan, Take Your Pick was pretty awful, in fact, so bad, it was funny. But for sheer gut wrenching nausea, I nominate 3-2-1.

You may have noticed I've changed the name of the thread to include game shows, which allows me to post this rubbish ;D

Can't in all honesty contribute much to this thread. I've always had a loathing of quizz shows and the like, and as such have avoided them like the plague.
On another tack, any one of "mature" years remember the Liberace programme on UK tv, imported from the states? My family loved that show - me, I used to hide behind the sofa in embarassment.

The worst game show of all-time is "The Price is Right". I realize that it's been on TV about 30 years, so a lot of people must like it, but it is about guessing the prices of supermarket items. It is as boring as a program about accounting would be.
Years ago, I was watching an installment of " The Newlywed Game." The wives were asked: "On your wedding night, was your husband a stout trout, a limp shrimp, or a virgin sturgeon?". When the husbands came back from their soundproof room, all four men said that they were stout trouts. The first three women had agree with their husbands' responses. When it was revealed that the fourth woman said limp shrimp, even with my old B&W television, I could see the man's face turn beet red!
I liked that game show.
