Most American boys my age have a tale or two to tell of valuable baseball cards ( I mean, ridiculous sums) that mom threw out or we stuck into our bike spokes for that cool sound.

Ha Steel you make me smile ...and laugh ;D I can remember small boys putting cards on their bikes ! I had a 'Beatles' tray which I used to sit on and slide down a hill covered with snow - well it was Glasgow we didn't do toboggans ;D Probably could have got a few bob for the tray now !

And probably have been able to retire!! Beatle fans seem to pay over the odds, even more so now, for Ringo Starr autographs.

A word of warning. I've noticed that there are some items on ebay with Ian Anderson autographs on them and some, at least to me, seem rather bogus to say the least. Somewhere I have got a couple of genuine IA autographs but some of the ones on ebay look rather crude and unlike the two I have. I don't want to be a scare monger on this issue but if you do bid for one of these "autographed" items please try to get some kind of authentication so that no one is ripped off.
If anyone can download a genuine IA autograph onto this forum I think it would be a tremendous help to anyone thinking of buying an item signed by IA.

Oddly enough, W.H.Smiths in Sutton sold the Hendrix album Electric Ladyland, when it first was issued, in a brown paper bag and I've heard that some record shops in those far off day turned the album cover inside out as well to avoid offending anyone. Never had a Tull album in a "brownie" but I've had strange looks - maybe it was just me

This counterfeit copy of Sunshine Day has just sold on ebay for US $201.49. Does the buyer know it's a fake or is it the silly season? Fakes have "Jethro Tull", the real thing reads "Jethro Toe" and MGM here in the UK never pressed records in 1968 with a large centre hole or on colored vinyl. Beware if sellers on ebay state that this is a re-pressing - it's not.

Greeting, From 7pm tonight (7th March) there will be two of Doane Perry's Paiste Signature Power Crash cymbals for sale on ebay. The cymbals were damaged and so Doane gave them to me for practicing with until I got some new ones as I had just got a kit but had no cymbals yet. I was lucky enough to meet him back in 1993 as a child of 10. Really nice guy and a world class drummer. His foot work is just on fire when he gets going! Doane signed the underneath of the 20" Power Crash but it's on sale with the 18" Power Crash he gave me too. The bidding will end 14th March. Take a look! J:D

Never realised that cymbals could get so "mashed up" in the process of playing but then Doane is one heck of a drummer. Let us know how you get on with your sale on ebay.

The Divinites poster shows that Steve Bailey played live w/ian...I did not know that ! When that tour played L.A., J. Noyce was the bass player.
