It's not the greatest problem that I've ever had to face but it's been driving me nuts all day and last evening. I have a song that I liked going round and round in my head. I know one line of the chorus, don't know the artist nor the name of the song, I've hunted high and low on google and on here - I posted it once somewhere on here. I've even been singing ( Haha) into my PC's mike on one of those webpages that tries to find a song - no luck. I've even searched using words as that I might have used to describe it on here - but no luck. The only other thing I haven't done yet is search all the way through this thread. *hit...*hit...*hit

In honour of all Icelandic TULL Fans... Merry Christmas! The 13 Horrifying Christmas Trolls Of Iceland LINK 1 LINK 2 They leave the nice children gifts and the naughty children ROTTING POTATOES Officially called Yule Lads, these terrifying creatures visit the children of Iceland on the 13 days before Christmas. Children leave their shoes on the window sill and, if the child was well-behaved, the Yule Lads would stuff them with gifts. But If they were naughty, they stuff them with rotting potatoes. This is real Icelandic lore and you can learn more about it here. 1. Stekkjarstaur (Sheep Cote Clod) December 12 Sheep Cote Clod gets his name because of his affinity for harassing sheep. He’s easily identified by his stiff peg legs. Fear Level: Standing over a subway grate.

One of the saddest things I've noticed since I moved back to the city ( and it could be in any city, town) is the amount of homeless people on the streets. Doorways of empty shops are turned into little bedrooms with cardboard signs, written by the person saying what chain of events have happened to make them homeless. Sometimes it's all to obvious when you see a young persons worryingly skinny body and facial features ravaged by some or various types of abuse. When I walk in the cold morning going to work through the main streets it's good to see sandwiches and hot drinks left beside those who are still sleeping. It's good too to see that the police don't move them along as it seems to be the same people on the same spot every night. There are some great organisations made up of extremely good people who are helping and a Happy Christmas to all of you.

Interview with Ian - LA Weekly 2011Q Do you feel that society still views the homeless or unfortunate in the same negative light as they did in the 1970s or do you think we've progressed past that?Ian I think we always view people who make us feel uncomfortable and appear to intrude on our middle-class cozy space, we view them with, if not hostility, at least suspicion, discomfort, embarrassment. We should recognize that we're a little bit embarrassed about other people's misfortune and try to come to terms with that ourselves, whether it's by showing some act of kindness or some act of giving in the case of homeless people. But I still find it awkward to approach a homeless person and give them some money. It's difficult. Sitting on my desk now is a begging letter from one of Britain's better-known charities for the homeless. I'm constantly reminded when I sing the song "Aqualung" onstage every night that these things don't go away. The plight of the homeless in your country and in mine is just as prevalent and upsetting as it was 40 years ago when I wrote that song.

Right now Denmark is moving away from being benevolent toward those who are having problems... The conservative government have decided to give less money to those who have so little... They call it the kontanthjælpsloft... A "ceiling" for how much those citizens can get... They started this in October... They just couldn't wait until spring... Merry Christmas everybody!! In Denmark we have a long tradition of taking care of those who can't take care of themselves... and now we have these coldhearted politicians... arrogant, condescending know it all's... It's so not Danish!! The way our politicians speak about those who are battling with a broad variety of problems, is just despicable... People are unable to pay the rent... etc...etc... This is the political climate in Denmark... We are not robots... Mr. Joachim B. Olsen!! Not everybody has had a perfect childhood like you, Mr. Lars Lykke Rasmussen... These people are also citizens, though they don't contribute in the same way to the general disaster of global warming as we do...

www.bbc.co.uk/Jobs lost as rock music media firm Team Rock collapses
More than 70 people have been laid off following the collapse of South Lanarkshire-based rock music media firm Team Rock Ltd. Administrators were called in after the firm got into financial difficulties.
A total of 27 staff in High Blantyre and 46 in London have been made redundant.
A further seven staff - including four in High Blantyre - will be retained "in the short term" to assist the administrators.
Team Rock ran a stable of rock music magazines as well as the website www.teamrock.com.
Titles and brands include Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Prog, the Golden Gods Awards and the Classic Rock Awards.
The company, which has now ceased trading, generated annual turnover of more than £6m.
Administrators at FRP Advisory are now seeking buyers for the business's magazine titles and other assets.www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-38370464[An absolute bummer for those journalist and production staff who have lost jobs , especially at this time of year. It may also mean that if anyone has taken out a recent subscription to one of the magazines mentioned that they will more than likely have lost out as well.
It's a shame as the Team Rock people seemed to be up with events as far as Tull/Anderson/Barre were concerned and we must hope that something can be salvaged amongst all this.]

It can get even creepier than that... Listen to this one... I don't find that creepy at all. It probably wouldn't get written or performed today, I think it's probably bordering on the sexist rather than anything else.

Sounds of the 60s' Brian Matthew steps downVeteran BBC Radio 2 broadcaster Brian Matthew has stepped down from presenting Sounds of The 60s due to "poor health" at the age of 88. I've listened to Brian Matthew since I was a teenager, and for me Saturday mornings will not be the same without hearing his voice on the radio. Happy retirement Brian.www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-38775566
