Had a dirndl dress and knew the words to the Sound of Music ;D

The shows were really good fun - for the audience and the musos alike. You could see how much fun they had on stage. And a German audience can get very enthusiastic. So the atmosphere was great. (A friend of mine came over from England to see the shows and it was the first time that he went to a gig in Germany. He was overwhelmed by the audience´s reaction.)
The set list included some songs from the different bands and from JT is was a medley with "To Cry You a Song", "Minstrel in the Gallery", "Teacher" and "Locomotive Breath". Chris Thompson, original singer of Manfred Man´s Earth Band, did a fine job, his voice is superb and he knows how to work with an audience.
Gary Brooker is a real gentleman and an excellent musician - and he still can sing!!! The last song before the encore had to be "Whiter Shade of Pale" and I had tears in my eyes.
Martin was just MEGA!!! I am not a fan of "Mighty Quinn" and stuff like that, but hey - with this guitar work it was hard rock and I loved it.
Peggy and Henry Spinetti were a perfect rhythm section and had a lot of fun. (Btw: I am a Henry Spinetti fan and met him for the first time in 1996. So it was funny to see that he started to get a bit nervous when he saw me before he went on stage - because he had to play the JT songs. What a lovely chap.)
Frank Mead played sax, flute and blues harp and was the funny element in the band. Another brilliant musician.
I hope this band gets the opportunity to do a tour in the UK - and that you all can come and see them.

Thanks for the review Ulla. If that line up manages a tour of the UK I shall endeavour to attend a concert. I've always found the German fans to be very enthusiastic about Jethro Tull and very generous in their hospitalty. I went to the Giessen concert and festival back in 1988 on one of those coach trips - coach to the town/city from England followed by a one night stay in a hotel, transport to the festival and then an all night coach trip back to Blighty all in the space of a weekend. When I was there I met quite a few German and Dutch fans who I'd corresponded with for many years and was greeted with copious amounts of beer, invitations back to Germany and The Netherlands and fond memories of the event due in no part to the warm welcome we received from the continental fans. The AND team had travelled there in a mini van but I shall remain tight lipped about their stories and shenanigans. I've got some photos from the event somewhere. When I find them I'll post a couple here although I must admit I never took a pic of the state of the AND mini van ;D

I went to the Giessen concert and festival back in 1988 I was there!!! But back in 1988 I did not know the AND gang (happy old days ). I was with about 50 people from my hometown - a little village in the middle of nowhere. Great festival - horrible weather.
