Time for a new game....drum roll...... the hardest Jethro Tull quizz ever!!!!!
Simple really, post a really, really tough Tull related question (but not impossible) and the first clever dick to get it right wins himself the right to be very smug and 'look how clever I am'!!
I shall start with this:
What has this building got to do with Jethro Tull?

Here's a challenge and a half Such a challenge that I will personally give what?.. a fiver to anyone who gets this! Find the young Ian and any of his chums. www.meliora.co.uk/64_wsp.htm(scroll the pic lengthways to see the complete line-up. If anyone can post the full pic that would be easier) This is an open question cause I don't have the answer myself however someone here may have

Next question:
What do Steve Hackett, Gordon Giltrap & Leo Kottke all have in common? (Not they all all guitarists, it's got to be Tull related!!)

I think the answer is ...... the lettering used on the outside of the album cover on Broadsword and the Beast is taken from some sort of made up language ( cant remember the exact word for it ) written by JRR Tolkien who wrote Lord of the Rings.

No Sorry, but that has made me think of another good question (can we have two on the go at once? Of course we can!) What is the writing around the outside of broadsword (it's not a made up script) and what does it say?

Is the writing around Broadsword not in Runes? and is it not the first words/lines of the song??

He did wear glasses at that age, at least I've seen an unpublished(?) photo of IA at school which showed him wearing wicked windows. Problem is I've got a similar type of school photo from one of my educational establishments and with the passing of the years I now can't find myself

(no googling ) Is IA the father in law? I have a feeling this is wrong but my wife loved the TV series This Life so I can never remember his name but always think of him as Egg!! Even at St Brides, when he was doing his reading: "Oh look, it's Egg" I thought...what a wally!!!

Or second from left, third row from the front. He would have been around 16 in '64 so would have been one of the senior pupils and if memory serves me right from my school photo the seniors and/or important pupils and the staff were second/third row from the front. Never made it to that exalted position myself ;D

chelsea college of science i think Correct Sir. You're excused PE for the rest of the week. Another question: In an interview for a well known girl's mag in 1969, IA was asked what his favourite children's book was. What was it?
