Hi guys! I'm brand new to the forum!
Anyway, I was on Jethro Tull's website today and I saw this at the top.
"125 days til a big surprise!"
Wonder what this could be?
I'm guessing it's a 40th anniversary deluxe reissue of Aqualung, but who knows?

As for the surprise you could very well be correct about Aqualung or, at the very least, a live album which was muted about six months ago. We wait with baited breath to hear what it is. Maddog

I'm going along with harrowman, it's a new album I just think if they were going to bring a 40th anniversary copy of Aqualung out then it would have been released on 19th March, 40 years to the day of the UK release.

Email received from Martin Webb:
Hi Graham IA has told the new Record Collector that as soon as JT get a new web-server they will investigate streaming live shows online. So putting 2 and 2 together... On the other hand, IA also told RC that he's spending most of April arranging the new album (release date Spring 2012) in Bristol and Germany.
Cheers, Martin

I see the official site now has a clock counting down the seconds to the 'big surprise'. It had better be worth it

A few alternative theories suggested by family and friends and, I have to say, one or two which sound good.
The return of the claghorn
A live album, available for download from the official site
Dave Pegg back in the band
A return for Maartin Allcock playing all manner of intruments
Even larger balloons during the encore
We all get a telephone call from the headmaster

i51.images obliterated by tinypic/2vma837.gif[/IMG] Well it can't be Aqualung surely and if it is then Tull Inc Marketing Dept needs a shake up. Going by our predictions it has to be a new studio album in HRA of course with a competition to name the album and the winner gets his /her pic taken with the Band in the front pew at Canterbury. Salisbury sorry or maybe he's getting into fish again?

The announcement of the Aqualung bonus tracks. A new album, still alive and well, we knew that too.
Sunday cheers!

All i know is in all these decades, Ian Anderson has never, ever let me down in any regard I can think of. While I don't put alot of expectation on this, I have to admit a tiny bit of foreboding that it will be the announcement of a final tour prior to the disolution of Jethro Tull. I know that is not true. I think/know he will continue making music, very likely til his last breath. But the most likely I believe will be a grand announcement of that web server coming online, and streaming Jethro Tull gigs in real time now available for I suspect a nominal and fair price.

You mean soon I might have to decide between siting in front of a screen and watching Tull live, fresh from a gig vs. everything else? Au Revoir everything else...no, wait, I can do everything else during Bouree.
